We’re committed to promote technology entrepreneurship for Canadian Universities students.
As such, we organize periodic trips to Silicon Valley (usually lasting 4 days) for Canadian University students who are passionate about being part of a technology startup. The students are selected after an application and will take part in a hack event building a small product; as well as meeting startup founders, investors, and executives at some of the notable Silicon Valley companies.
The pilot project ran in May 2011 with help from the University of Alberta, theC100 and Startup Edmonton.

Great idea! Any chance that this will come to toronto?
Peter
Hey Peter,
ABSOLUTELY plan on bringing this to Toronto. Starting in Edmonton is … well … only a start. This program will really take off when we branch out to other Canadian universities. We can’t wait to make that happen :O
So let us know if you or someone would like to help with getting that started in Toronto.
